I would be playing TS2 simultaneously with TS3 if it weren't for some wretched CC crashing issue in my TS2 game. It would take a WHILE to isolate the problem, but eventually I WILL get around to it because I miss that game like crazy.
One of my absolute favorite families was the Lowekey family (as far as the name -- pronounced "LOW-kee" or like "Loki" -- when I created them I was bored and in trying to come up with a good surname, I thought something along the lines of 'well, they're...young and....low key...?' silly, huh?). Keith and Casey had 10 children in all: Chloe, Cody, Corley, Kayleigh, Kierni, Courtney, twins Kinley (boy) and Kirby (girl), and twins Candi and Kennedy (both girls).
As of my last saved TS2 games, five of the kids were married, one was 'secretly' engaged, and Cody & Courtney were also parents (Chloe had a bundle on the way). The youngest four were still in college with Kirby and Kinley close to graduating.
I've been dying to recreate these guys, and I honestly wanted to start them from the beginning as I did in TS2. LOL call it laziness I guess....I'm just really anxious to jump on in and continue their storyline where I left off, so I created Keith and Casey in CAS and started popping out ready-made CAS kids (with their combined genetics). I really didn't need to tweak them much, either -- hair and makeup and a couple of minor adjustments here & there. Nothing too dramatic (except for the oldest son Cody...I'll have to post his CAS 'before' pic someday...oy).
I still need to make spouses, and once that's finished I'm going to start playing these suckers(I'll be posting occasional in-game scenes on Bijou Sweeney's Madness). They don't look exactly the way they did in my TS2 game (that proved to be unnecessarily tedious), but I'm satisfied with these TS3 counterparts.
I haven't updated this in a month! Finally finished the last (maybe) of the females. NONE of these sims are characters from any specific anime or game; they're all my own creations that are inspired by waaay cooler characters (that's why some of them are pretty stereotypical).
Working on the dudes will be much harder because I suck at making hot male sims, but I had a lot of fun creating the gals. If I can get them tweaked just right (some of the features are too similar between them and need adjusting) and get a good list of all the cc and hacks used, I might upload some of them, but I'm always afraid that they won't look worth a darn in other people's games!
Akemi Chikasue -- smart, quick-witted, and willing to do just about ANYTHING on a good dare. Akemi (or Aki-chan as her friends call her) usually doesn't say very much, but when she does speak people sit up and pay attention. Wise beyond her years, Aki will either become a philosopher or an assassin (though mixing the two would make for some damn cool adventures). Aki is the one to call on when you need something done the RIGHT way (particularly in the areas of information gathering and revenge). No one quite knows how she manages to have the type of high-level connections she does, but those in need of her help are damn sure glad she has them.
Risami Fukuyama -- the whole "sugar and spice" concept was created JUST for this girl. Risa-chan is a little darling; genuinely sweet, innocent, optimistic and often painfully naive. But don't be COMPLETELY fooled -- Risa-chan is no idiot, and she often has surprisingly insightful and thought-provoking things to say. She's usually tasked with bridging gaps between opposing sides, and behind the twinkling eyes and eager attitude you can BET she's running her own agenda in the end.
Nagisa Nitta -- a high-ranking member of the student council and student body president Hisae Ishimura's personal lackey. Nagisa is ALWAYS running some agenda -- hers or Ishimura-sempai's, and nearly every action she takes is to in some way benefit herself or the president. There is no ground she won't cover, no obstacle too difficult to overcome, no depths too low or deviant and no line that she won't cross in order to get ahead or further the agenda of the Council. All of this 'devotion' leaves little time for friends or a social life, and as such Nagisa is not very well perceived (or trusted) by others. Of course, she couldn't care less, and views the great majority of the student body as vapid, shallow, brainless pawns that should 'know their place'.
Ryoko Saito -- one of the region's most decorated athletes and chick magnet extraordinaire. Ryo-kun doesn't need to boast about how many women she could get -- girls (and older women) eagerly throw themselves at her. Well liked by all and with a near-celeb-status popularity, Ryoko has a great degree of sway in school politics and often speaks on behalf of much of the more radical members of the student body. She has always retained boyish good looks and makes a sport of posing as a dude just to mess with people.
Mitsuru Fujinaka -- an elite upperclassman with an enviably polished pedigree and an attitude to match. Mitsu-sempai serves as a council chair and leader of a few highly-influential organizations, and she carries herself in an elitist manner at ALL times. Mitsu runs in the same tight circle as her good friend and ally Naoko Hanaori and makes no apologies for only associating herself with the very best of everything -- clothes, dining, and most importantly people who benefit her in some way. She can be cold, haughty, and as underhanded as any seasoned politician.
Sakura Nonaka -- the eyes and ears of the school. Not much happens behind the expensive granite walls of the school that Nonaka-chan isn't privy to. She maintains the highest sources and efficiently runs two of the academy's three news outlets. With sweet good looks and a boisterous charm, she has no trouble making friends and is well respected by her peers and teachers. Though some of the latest student council scandals have been difficult to expose, nothing in the world, not even sterling family names and dirty money will stand in Sakura's way to getting the truth behind the facade.
Yukari Kitajima -- the third comrade of the tight-knit Hanaori/Fujinaka/Kitajima circle and cousin of Akemi Chikasue. Yukari doesn't hold many high-level positions in school, but with model good looks, family money, and a sensually persuasive charm she has no trouble getting any-and-everything she wants. Yukari associates herself with other elites, and though she is one of the most sought-after females in the academy, only the most upstanding (read=rich & hot) males need apply. If she has anything to say about it, however, the final prize in her collection will be fellow classmate Ryoko Saito...
All for now. Again, I'm not 100% stuck on storylines or anything at the moment (I'm still not even sure if I'm going to do an actual short story or what at this point), and some facial features will be tweaked. And I'm debating on the uploading thing because I'd hate for them to look silly in someone else's game...anyway, more to come soon (i hope)!
I've been wanting to create a hood of anime-inspired sims and I started working on some yesterday. They are NOT the beautiful large-eyed sims that people like Harry, myfirstsimsgame, and others excel at, but slightly more realistic looking (not GOOD looking, just realistic...sort of). They will all be based off of stereotypical anime & video game characters (like in the Persona series). I hope they came out okay (still need to tweak a couple of them a bit) -- I still need to make several more females and lots of hot, sexy, delicious dudes!
Hisae Ishimura -- the brainy, responsible over-achieving good girl. Student body president, leader of every organization known to mankind, comes from a VERY privileged family but may not be everything she seems...secretly she can be one mean, tough, underhanded nasty bitch who'll stop at NOTHING to get what she wants, when she wants, even if it means secretly hurting someone close to her.
Naoko Hanaori -- the pretty privileged one. Naoko is somewhat snobbish, but is very well liked by pretty much everyone, the girl that every guy wants and every girl wants to be, or have as an anesama. She, like everyone else, is not all she seems to be -- on the outside she appears poised and polished and confident, but she's harboring an unbelievable secret that could completely obliterate her perfect existence.
Izumi Eniwa -- the rebel with a cause, that cause being 'obliterate conformity and systematically dismantle the rigidity of private school life once and for frikkin' all'. Izumi is liked by many people but is very misunderstood - she tends to scare the hell out of most with her looks and peculiar antics (including dabbling in the occult). She can be shy and withdrawn, disappearing for days on end just to wander through the forests or meditate in a graveyard. She loves all things dark, rock, goth, hip hop, and everything in between, and pushes boundaries wherever she goes. She's a master hacker with a jaw-dropping family secret that no one would ever suspect...
Junji Uesugi -- the quirky tech genius. JunJun is a hacker like Izumi, but is also a master when it comes to ALL things electronic. She's funloving and awesome to be around, sporting multi-colored hair on a whim and sometimes being oblivious to EVERYTHING going on around her. JunJun does not come from a well-to-do family -- in fact, family struggles play a large role in how she goes about her daily life. Though her means are modest, she has a wealth of knowledge and can match wits, facts, and trivia with the brainiest students in school. It's no secret that many people would love to see her as Student Body President, but there are too many antagonists who aim to make sure that little Jun knows AND stays in "her place".
I had so much fun making the kids for my assignment in Gothique Beauty! I picked a few pics and edited them a bit. It's been SO LONG since I've written a Sims story, but every assignment in this competition makes me want to create one, especially with these wretched little tykes.
As per request, here are a few of Lemonleaf's Japanese schoolgirl outfits. They're really cute in-game, though not the highest quality in the world. The site is pretty difficult to navigate for non-speakers!
One thing that always gets me is how much some people like to populate their hoods with the SAME SIMS over and over again. That could mean seven hoods full of stereotypical anorexic blonde botox nightmares or goths or nerds or anything else. Of course I like making themed-hoods like anyone else, but what ever happened to game-wide variety?
What I want to do is to make all SORTS of different sims -- different sizes, shapes, skintones, "ethnicities", and levels of attractiveness. I'm not sure how successful it'll be -- I've done okay so far -- but whatever.
So these are two of my latest:
She looks a lot like my best friend from elementary school, or at least what she'd look like now (minus the hair color). I love making gingers!!! Normally I can't make upturned noses that remotely resemble a human nose (think MJ, may he rest in peace), but this one came out okay. If people like her, I'll upload her soon.
Nori is supposed to be either a sister or cousin to one of my favorite sims, Junji Nishikawa (one of the only sims I have uploaded on the Exchange). She's sort of sweet and docile whereas Junji is edgy and silly. This is my first sim using the non-default replacement skins -- I LOVE THEM!!! If you haven't gotten them already, do so. Seriously. Right now -- go get them!!!
I'm going to use this blog to showcase all the silly sims that I have made or are working on. Some will be available to download (I don't do the Exchange normally), and I'll provide info and/or links to all of the CC used when I do upload.
Absolutely nothing of note to tell except that I am a living, breathing, fully functional human being. Or at least I think I am...that's what they told me in the lab after the shit from the injections wore off...
